The Reserve range is a selection of the best wines produced for every vintage. Wild fermented Swartland Syrah with other blending components are aged in large, older French oak Foudres, to preserve the purity of Swartland fruit while showcasing the layered complexity and fine structure of this Châteauneuf-du-Pape style win.
Reserve Red 2021
The 2021 vintage red blend consists of: Shiraz 85% / Cinsault 5%/ Mourvèdre 5% / Cabernet Sauvignon 3% / Pinotage 2%
We make as many components as possible, which include single-varietal and co-varietal ferments. Most include a portion of whole bunches, undergo natural fermentation and spend at least 6 – 10 weeks on the skins before being pressed to big and old vats for ageing.
This wine has consistently been awarded top ratings. With a 4.5-star (93 points) Platter rating the 2021 vintage is no exception.
